Health and Safety - Fire Risk Assessment

As with risk assessment, the requirement to carry out a fire risk assessment has been a legal obligation for a number of years. Every year businesses are destroyed  or seriously affected by fire. Our senior Adviser has many years experience and has carried out fire risk assessments in a variety of workplace environments including factories, warehouses, offices and schools.

 

The Salus Fire Risk Assessment Process

 

• Firstly, we provide you with a free survey and quotation for the premises.
• We then schedule a convenient time to conduct a survey of each area of the premises collating detailed information. The time that this takes varies upon the size of the office / premises / building.
• Smaller office fire risk assessments take between 1 and 3 hours to review, whereas larger premises might take a series of visits over a given period. Timescales are always outlined in our free surveys.
• A report is then drafted from the information collected, and then presented back to you in an 'easy to understand' format comprehensively covering the modules as detailed in The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

 

Specifically it will include

 

• Identified Fire Hazards
• People in and around the premises at risk
• A process of evaluating, removing, reducing and protecting from future risk
• A Further action report outlining suitable measures and record taking.

Dependant upon the Fire Risk Assessments urgency, we can usually turnaround reports within 7 days of the information survey. If there are more urgent timescales such as imminent Fire Service visits or premises opening dates, we can be flexible with the regards timescales.
